Welcome to Tallgrass Balance and Hearing Center

Dr. Gary McKnight opened his new location July 02, 2007, at the Tallgrass Prairie Surgical Specialists Building.  Known throughout the region as "the Dizzy Doctor" for over 10 years, Gary specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of dizziness, balance and hearing disorders.  Dr. McKnight is a graduate of the University of Florida and continues to teach at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

The Balance and Hearing Center office offers the latest in innovative technology, available at only a handful of clinics across the country.  Gary will be working with a team of regional specialists, combining state-of-the-art care with the friendly professionalism his patents have come to expect.

Tallgrass Balance & Hearing Center specializes in the following:

• Treatment for Dizziness or "Vertigo"
• Evaluation of Balance and Falling Problems
• Diagnosis and Treatment of Hearing Disorders & Loss
• State of the Art Technology of the Diagnosis of Dizziness Disorders

Dizziness is the Number Three reason that patients over 60 years old visit their primary health care physician.  On average, a patient experiencing dizziness and balance problems can visit up to six different doctors before being properly diagnosed.  Over 60% of people experiencing these symptoms have problems with the inner ear.

Here are several questions to help determine if you may need to visit our Center:

• Do you ever feel the room spinning?
• Do changes in head or body position make you feel dizzy?
• Do you have a fear of falling?
• Do you have problems understanding what people say to you?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, please consider an evaluation at the Tallgrass Balance & Hearing Center.  Call 785-228-6100 to schedule an appointment.
