Seminars
We host
informational seminars for anyone who is interested
in weight loss surgery options. The seminars
are held on the second Saturday of each
month in the St. Francis Health Center second floor
auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The
Auditorium doors close promptly at 10:00 a.m., so
please be sure to arrive early to sign in.
These seminars
provide information on the history of obesity,
treatment options, surgical procedure review and
surgery complications, as well as additional time
for questions from attendees. At the end of
the seminar, attendees receive a packet of
informational tools and required documentation.
Potential patients must complete a patient
questionnaire before a surgical consultation is
scheduled.

Support Groups
Post-operative patients and those
who are scheduled for surgery are encouraged to
attend support group meetings.

Meetings
The Saturday morning support group meetings are held
the second Saturday of each month at St. Francis
Health Center in Meeting Room 1 on the second floor
from 10:00 - 11:00am.

Tuesday
Meetings
The Tuesday evening support group meetings are held
the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30pm.
Effective January 26, 2010, the location of these
meetings has been changed to St. Francis Sports
Medicine Center, 801 SW Fairlawn. Support Group will
meet from 6:00 – 6:40pm, followed by an aerobic and
strengthening exercise class for those who would
like to participate (for a small fee).
